I first encountered Steven Fleming's CYCLE SPACE as a public health graduate student. Fleming spoke to my class via Skype from halfway around the world, and his keen and kooky sensibility impressed on us immediately.

An athorative insight into the relationship between fundamental urban strategies in architecture and cycling from an architectural historian/theorist who has previously been in practice as well. Great content in a unique format, complete with a cynical political undertone.

This book uniquely argues that cycling can transform our daily lives and should influence our urban fabric.Relevant and real life examples from the authors travels and experiences shows the value and impact of various bicycle orientated, urban design solutions.
