I have just begun this book, and I suppose one can say that any such book is well written if it lead me to find a mistake in the first chapter, with just my simple working knowledge of HTML 4. The first lesson sets up an HTML5 template including 3 dots and a bracket for where the javascript will go.

HTML5 is still not completely defined and it does not have really have a complete requirements and design document that is solid and stable. At least this is not the case yet.
